Beginnings

Much of this era of PolyWorld! is unknown, but it is confirmed that development of the client and site started on May 29th, 2026. The client was originally only for WebAssembly, and the first known screenshot and meme were created.

The avatars were originally a solid blue color
First PolyWorld! meme based on the screenshot seen to the left

First meme

The first meme was an Undertale reference to Sans's pre-fight dialogue. It was created in may, like other very early screenshots.

Early multiplayer tests
First game in modern client

Multiplayer tests

Multiplayer was created pretty early on as a priority for development. It included a better avatar, too. It did not have sleeves and the face was different from the modern one. There are many differences here, such as the studs not using any normal map. The Crzy account was made on May 29th. Despite the PolyMan! account having the same date, they were not actually registered at the same time and was instead made via PHPMyAdmin.

June 2026

The first version of PolyWorld! was released on the 13th of June, sometime before this the first shirts were released, being solid color torsos with no sleeves. Mostly minor updates after this.

July 2026

Development greatly ramped up in July. All early versions of the game seem to have creation dates on the same day. (which is definitely wrong)

On the 12th of July the first hat/accesory was released onto the catalog being the hardhat.

On July 15th the first PolyWorld! Devlog was published onto youtube, a few days later, on the 22nd the first studio showcase was also published onto Crzy's youtube channel.

August 2026

On August 3rd the first Mobile Version of PolyWorld! was released only for Android arm64 phones, support for armv7 (32-bit) was later added.

On the 8th of August PolyWorld! went global, non-us players no longer needing a vpn to access the website/play the game. On the same day the offical PolyWorld! Youtube Channel was created.

On August 9th the PolyWorld! Forums were opened for the first time.
