Community Rules
Last updated: October 26, 2026
These Community Rules keep PolyWorld fun and safe. They are part of the Terms of Service. Breaking them can lead to the actions in section 6. Staff decisions take effect when issued; you may ask for a review as described there. We may update these Community Rules by posting a new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Changes take effect when posted. We will also announce material changes via site banner or Discord. Continued use after the new date means you accept the updated Community Rules.
1. Be respectful
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, or bullying.
- No discrimination based on identity, background, or beliefs.
- Don't spam chat, comments, friend requests, or private messages.
- Don't use language that breaks the filter or these Community Rules (hate, slurs, sexual content, or targeted abuse). “Offensive” here means that kind of language, not ordinary disagreement.
2. Keep it appropriate
- No sexual content, pornography, or sexualization of minors ever.
- No extreme gore, real-world violence glorification, or content posted mainly to shock or distress people (for example graphic real-world harm or jump-scare spam aimed at a person).
- All user-generated content must follow the chat filter and these Community Rules. That includes usernames, bios, place titles, thumbnails, clothing, chat, private messages, scripts, catalog uploads, images, comments, and forum posts. The filter word list is not published, because publishing it makes it easier to evade. When the filter is being worked on, you should still not use those words.
- In-game public chat is logged. Private messages are stored and may be read by staff when investigating abuse.
- PolyWorld is intended for users 13 and older.
3. Don't cheat or abuse the platform
- No exploits, hacks, gameplay bots, or unofficial clients that give unfair advantages. “Unfair advantages” applies to all of those, not only to unofficial clients. Using the official website, desktop, and Studio clients (and their APIs) as designed is allowed. Accessibility tools that do not cheat or bypass security are allowed.
- No scamming players for Bricks, Bux, items, accounts, or personal information.
- Don't buy, sell, or trade accounts, Bricks, Bux, or items for real money or value outside PolyWorld.
- Don't manipulate economy systems, claim rewards fraudulently, or abuse bugs for gain. Report bugs with an on-site Ticket instead.
- Don't attempt to disrupt game servers, the website, or other players' sessions.
4. Account & identity
- You may have more than one account. Public IPs are capped (by default three accounts; extras may be banned unless staff raise the limit). Do not create accounts to evade bans or harass others. Accounts that share a public IP may show as “Related to” on profiles; that is not by itself a ban.
- Don't share your session cookie or password. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Don't impersonate staff, other players, or brands in a misleading way.
- Don't ask for or share real-life personal information of others. Don't post your own home address, phone number, school, or similar details in public places, and don't move that kind of information off-platform to dodge these Community Rules.
5. User-generated content
- You may create places, catalog items, scripts, and avatars that follow these Community Rules and the Terms.
- Don't upload stolen assets you don't have rights to use (such as copyrighted content), or content that infringes others' copyrights/trademarks. Copyright complaints go through on-site Tickets or email as described in the Terms.
- Don't use PolyWorld to distribute malware, phishing links, or illegal material.
- Staff may remove or unpublish content that breaks the rules without notice.
6. Enforcement, bans, and reports
- Actions may include warnings, mutes, content deletion, temporary site bans, permanent site bans (account termination), and game bans. There is no published strike ladder. Mute and temp-ban lengths are chosen per case (temp bans use the durations staff can select). A warning is not required before a stronger action.
- A game ban is an IP ban that prevents joining games (you spawn on a neon green baseplate with battle tools). A site ban affects the account and logs you out (you are sent to a banned page). They are often used together. A permanent site ban is account termination under the Terms: items and unused currency may be forfeited. A temp ban or mute is not.
- Ban evasion can result in additional bans on related accounts. “Related” means accounts that share a public IP (and, when opted in, a device hash), as described in the Privacy Policy. Shared households, schools, and VPNs can be affected; tell us in an appeal if that happened by mistake.
- Staff may act on clearly harmful or illegal conduct even if it is not listed here. For minor unlisted issues we typically warn first. Listed rules are enforced as written.
- When we review content, we apply the Community Rules then in effect so the Service stays safe. If we add a rule because of a new kind of harm, we may remove or restrict already-published content so it complies going forward. We will not treat that older post as a ban-level violation solely because the rule is new, unless it was already illegal or already broke another rule.
- Report rule-breaking, unsafe content, and child-safety concerns with in-product Report (profiles, games, comments, forum) or an on-site Ticket. Do not wait for staff to stumble on it.
- Appeals and reviews may be requested through Tickets or email epic.gdps@gmail.com. Permanent-ban appeals also have a form on the ban page. A review is discretionary, has no set timeline, and does not pause the action. We may uphold, lessen, or reverse. We do not guarantee a reversal.
Using PolyWorld means you also agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
